     Eleanore J. Moore, 98, (nee Pape) passed away at the Mercy Regional Medial Center in Lorain following a brief illness.
     Mrs. Moore was born in Lorain on July 12, 1919, the daughter of the late Warren E. and Grace A (nee Lade). She was a graduate of Lorain High School, class of 1937 and the Lorain Business College. She was a homemaker.
     She was the oldest member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Lorain. She has been a member of her church for 75 years.  She served as a deaconess and on the Memorial Committee. She assisted in redecorating the palors and helped with the bulletins.
     Mrs. Moore loved painting with water colors. She was president of the Longfellow School PTA for two separate terms, served as the Girl Scout Cookie Chairman,.a member of both the Lakeland Women's Club and the Colony Club. She also enjoyed sailing with her husband.
     She is survived by her son Roger F. (wife's name) Moore of St. Croix, VI, a daughter Nancy J. (husband's name) Johnson of Vermilion, grandchildren: Laura McDaniel, Carl Johnson, Karen Gallucci, Alana Kirven, great grandchildren Dalton McDaniel, Macie McDaniel, Jack Gallucci, Davis McDaniel, and Levi Gallucci.
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Frank C. Moore on Nov. 18, 2006 and two sisters June Tisdale and  Jeannette Smith.
     A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 10:30am in the First Congegation United Church of Christ, 423 Washington Ave., with Rev. Brian Burke, pastor of the Amherst United Church of Christ, officiating.
     Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.
     The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 20470 Lorain Rd, Cleveland, OH 44126 or The Salvation Army, 2506 Broadway Ave., Lorain, Ohio  44052.
