Fred B Rosso

September 22, 1934 ~ April 3, 2018 (age 83)
 Fred B. Rosso, 83, of Lorain went home to be with the Lord and his beloved wife on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Mercy Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
     He was born on September 22, 1934 in Lorain to the late Jack and Marie (nee Horak) Rosso. He was a graduate of Lorain High School. He was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church in Lorain.
     Following high school, he enlisted in the US Navy and spent 23 months in Korea receiving 5 battle stars and Unit Citations.
     He was a retired supervisor with Ohio Edison Co for 37 years; retiring in the mid 1980's.He served as an auxiliary police officer for a total of 22 years with the Largo Florida Police Department, Elyria Police Depart and the Sheffield Village Police Department retiring in 2012.
     Mr. Rosso was an artist. He had a passion for out of doors, especially fishing, winning several tournaments, hunting, bowling and ice skating. He also was an accomplished roller skater, having played with the Roller Rockets Roller Derby team in the 1950's.
     He is survived by sons Frederick B. (Lisa) Rosso of Elgin, IL, Christopher (Patty) Rosso of Elyria, granddaughter Amber Rosso, grandson Jarod (Nikki Williamson) Rosso and a brother David Rosso of Lorain.
     Mr. Rosso was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A. (nee Moore) Rosso in 2015, son Mark A Rosso in 2012, brother Jack Rosso and a sister Dolores Lyons.
     Friends may call on Friday, April 6, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio.
     Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 10 A.M. in the funeral home.
     Burial with full military honors will follow in the Resthaven Memory Garden, Avon with full military honors provided by the Amvets Post 32 Honors Detail.
     The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 10501 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44106-2204.
