I am heartbroken at hearing about Mary's passing. I will always remember a cute fantasy that we shared, due to a dream I had about her. Basically, she shrunk, tiny teacher, so small, she wore her watch around her waist, like a belt! After hearing about my dream, she actually gave me her watch that she was wearing at the moment of miniaturization. We, for the next 2 years, before she retired, would constantly share fun fantasies about tiny teacher! Tiny Mary! I shall never forget your adventures as a tiny teacher.

I am sadly just now hearing of Mary's passing. My deepest condolences. I was a student at admiral king high school during the last 2 years before she retired. My favorite memory of her was that, as a result of a dream of her shrinking in front of the class. I told her of this silly dream, and she was absolutely delighted at becoming small! We shared this magical scenario between each other, tiny teacher adventures, for 2 years. I will never forget my tiny art teacher!

Your parents volunteered at Family Services during the time I taught parenting classes. They were such wonderful, warm greeters to the class participants, most of whom were required to attend.. Your Mom did a calligraphy of one of my favorite passages, I think of them when I look at it, and smile remembering their grace, humor and thoughtfulness. Please know your family is in my prayers.

Mary, you knew my parents well! Yes, they were all about bringing beauty and joy to others, whether through art or good deeds. I'm glad you got to know them and their humor and love. Thank you for the remembrances!

So sorry for your lose. Mrs. Goehring was my favorite Teacher in Admiral King High School back in 1984. She taught me alot about Art. She will be missed. My prayers are with you and your family.

Thank you so much, Christine! We often hear from our dad's students (he taught a lot longer) but it's nice to know she was made just as much impact on her students. Thank you for your kind words!
