Mary Lou Kiser, 84, (nee Frank) passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Kingston of Vermillion Nursing Home following a long illness.
Mrs. Kiser was born in Lorain on June 3, 1933, the daughter of the late Earl R. and Thelma L (nee Bradley) Frank. She was a 1951 B graduate of Lorain High School and graduated from the Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing in Cleveland in 1955.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and formerly a member of the Mother's Club.
Mrs. Kiser retired in the 1970's as a registered nurse from St Joseph's Hospital in Lorain, and then worked as a school nurse for Lorain City Schools.
She enjoyed knitting, tracing her family history and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Kiser is survived by her daughter, Deborah L. (Terry) Brown, of Vermilion, sons Kenneth J. Kiser, also of Vermilion, Mark R. Kiser, of Lorain, grandchildren Amy L Brown, Jordan A. (Rachel) Brown, Justin K. (Sarah) Brown, Hallie N. Brown, sisters Earlene (John) Moritz, of Benton, AK; Jean Chrulski, of Vermilion,
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Kiser on May 3, 2008, sister Beverly Frank and a brother Ralph Frank.
Friends may call on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 4-8 PM in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 5100 Ashland Ave, Lorain, OH 44053 with Pastor Bill Mugnolo, officiating.
Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
