Ralph H. Jeffords, 75, of Lorain passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the O'Neill Healthcare in North Ridgeville following a long illness.
     Mr. Jeffords was born on Feb. 22, 1942 in Logan to the late Charles H and Evelyn J. (nee Tennihill) Jeffords. His family moved from Logan to Columbus and then to Lorain, at age 15.
     He retired from Ford Motor Company in 1987 after 28 years of service. Following retirement, he began working for Great Lakes Livery Service, Lorain Police Auxiliary and the  Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals.
     Mr. Jeffords enjoyed hunting and fishing, dining out at restaurants, but most of all spending time with his family and friends.
      He is survived by his longtime companion, Sherill Novak, Daughters, Shelli Zalek of Sheffield Lake, Brenda (Joe) Elek of North Ridgeville, Lynn (Mike) Kaiser of Monroe, Erin (Steve) Zan of Elyria, 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sisters Rebecca Milota and Patricia Weaver both of Amherst, and several nieces and nephews.
     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson Troy Kaiser in 2016, sister Nikki Majcher and brother Carl Jeffords.
     Friends may call on Sunday, 22, 2017 from 4-7 pm in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.
     Funeral services will be Monday, October 23, 2017 at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Mr. James Hiser, officiating.
     Burial will be private.
