Daniel S. (Danny) Powers, 70, of Elyria passed away on Sunday, Februaryl 25, 2024 at University Hospital~Main Campus following a brief illness.
Mr. Powers was born in Mansfield on October 25, 1953, a son of the late Arthur Lee Powers and Betty Jo (nee Casteel) Powers Gall.
He was an U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Viet Nam War. He was a disabled Truck Driver for US Express and had worked for Red Ball Trucking,
Mr. Powers enjoyed fishing, was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and was a fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Danny is survived by his loving and dedicated wife of 30 years, Judy A. (nee Anderson) Powers, a daughter, Sarah Christina Jean Powers, of Elyria, sons Joseph Joshua Powers of Lorain, Daniel Lee (Mindy) Powers, of North Ridgeville, Jack Benjamin Powers of Elyria, grandchildren, Autumn Powers, Julia Powers, Dillon Powers, Owen Powers, Zema Powers, Jack Daniel Powers, sisters Diane Powers of Cleveland, Missy Thompson of Elyria, Marcie Gall of Cleveland, brothers, Robert L Powers, of Elyria, Jerry Powers of Elyria, Mark Powers of Cleveland, and Joseph Gall, of Las Vegas, NV.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Daniel Lee Joseph Powers.
Military graveside services will be held at The Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, Ohio on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 1:15 PM.
