Dr. Henry B. Mazorow, 89, of Lorain passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Maltz Hospice House in Beachwood.
He was born in Cleveland on January 27, 1930, the son of the late Max and Ida (nee Eskin) Mazorow. He was a graduate of Glenville High School, class of 1948, earned a bachelor of science degree from Case Western Reserve University in 1952, and his doctorate from Ohio State School of Dentistry in 1959. he began is practice in Lorain in 1959 and continued until his retirement in 2011.
Dr. Mazorow was a member of Agudath B'Nai Israel Synagogue in Lorain and veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by daughters; Denise L. (Martin Libicki) Mazorow of Kensington, MD, Gwen Mazorow of Silver Spring, MD, son Wayne (Laurel) Mazorow of Orange Village, step daughter Jamie (Herve) Rufin of Samois, France, grandchildren: Anne Rufin, Sophia Rufin, Alex Rufin, Benjamin Rufin, Tara Dykstra, Ryan Hochstetler, Ariella Libicki, Rivka Libicki-Eversley, Kayla Libicki, Jules Gary, great grandchildren: Mason Dykstra, Grant Dykstra, Edwin Libicki-Eversley, Lorriliae Libicki-Eversley, sister Irma Kahn of Twinsburg, and brother Herbert (Carmen) Mazorow of San Juan Capistrano, CA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Gerry (nee Gary) Mazorow on June 13, 2014, daughter Karen Hochstetler in 2014, step son Joey Gary in 2013 and a sister Florence Schiller.
Graveside services were held on Sunday, February 3, 2019 in the Salem Cemetery with full Military Honors by the Lorain Honor Guard.
