Harvey Reese Leyshon

 Harvey Reese Leyshon, 90, formerly of Vermilion, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge following a brief illness.

      Mr. Leyshon was born in Washington, PA on October 26, 1927, the son of the late Howard Leyshon and Margaret L (Garner) Leyshon Babcock.  He served in the United States Navy during World War II, where he learned to be an electrician.  Mr. Leyshon was employed in the construction industry, and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.  He retired in 1996, with 40 years of service.

      He is  survived by daughter and former care-giver, Cheri (Mike) Humphrey, and grandson Sean Humphrey, all of Boise, ID; two nieces and care-givers, Marsha Stroud and Nancy Neff of Cambridge, Ohio; and several other relatives.

      He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Joan M. Leyshon, and by his twin sister Kathryn Hall, his brother Howard Leyshon who was killed in World War II, and his sister Jean Fiebach.

      In keeping with Mr. Leyshon's wishes, there will be no visitation or public services.  Burial was private, in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.  

     The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 10501 Euclid Ave , Cleveland, OH  44106-2204.
