JoAnn R. Young, 81, (nee Welch) of Avon passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the Ames Family Hospice House following a long illness.
     Mrs. Young was born in Lorain on January 19, 1936, the daughter of the late George and Helen (nee Smith) Welch. She was a 1955 graduate of Lorain High School. She was a homemaker
     She was a member of the Lakeland Women's Club, Cleveland Indians Baseball fan and enjoyed knitting and quilting. She was an avid golfer and golfed in several leagues.
     Mrs. Young is survived by a daughter, Jean (Dennis) Nolan of Elk Grove Village, IL, sons Jeff (Carol) Young of Elyria, Scott (Kim) Young, of Harwich, MA,  3 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Young in 2014, a brother Robert Welch and a sister Jean Welch.
     Services were private wit burial in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
     The family requests donations to Hospice of the Western Reserve 300 East 185th Street Cleveland, OH 44119.
