June M. (Novinger) Ellis

   June Mae Ellis, (nee Novinger/Forester), 97, of Lorain, passed away Saturday, August 25, 2018.  She was surrounded by her loving family at Kingston Residence in Vermilion, where she had resided with her loving husband, Charlie, for the past 4 years.
     She was born June 10, 1921 in Lorain, Ohio.  She resided in Brownhelm where her family owned and operated the local Country Store on Baumhart Rd.  She was a graduate of Brownhelm School, class of 1940.
     June married Russell Forester in 1948 and resided in Lorain, Ohio with him until Russell's passing in 1992.  June retired from Lorain Products working in Production Control for 18 years.  Prior to that she was an accountant for Abraham Motors.
     In 2001, June married a long time family friend, Charles Ellis.   She enjoyed celebrating life fully everyday with the important things in life, family and friends. June was a strong presence in the life of each of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
     She found joy in cooking and baking, preparing the traditional holiday meals while spending time with the family celebrating holidays and milestones.  She was a talented seamstress, knitter, and crocheted many beautiful pieces for the family and friends.  She also passed these talents to many family members. Music was an important part of her life, through listening, attending concerts and playing the piano. June and Charlie loved the fabulous adventures and trips over the past 17 years of their marriage.
     June is survived by her children, Pamela (Del) Waldecki of Murrells Inlet, SC, Kim (Steve) Koos of Oberlin, Ohio,  grandchildren, Corrine (Jim) Klaiber of Huron, Ohio, Nichole (Dan) Neff of Westlake, Ohio, Adam (Donna) Koos of Columbus, Ohio, Tana Koos of Columbus and Jena (David) Meter of Delaware, Ohio,  great grandchildren , Maria and Nicholas Tsirigotakis, Sarah and Scott Klaiber, Karston and Kamden Koos, Kyla, Keegen, Kullen, Kierrrick Koos.
     June was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Russell Forester, devoted husband Charlie Ellis of 17 years, loving grandson Kyle Koos, parents Florence and Edgar Novinger, brother James Novinger, niece Tony Klima and great niece Samantha Diso.  
     A graveside service will be held at Ridge Hill Memorial Park ,  44805 North Ridge Road, Amherst, on Thursday, Auguust 30, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. (Those attending please meet at the main office parking lot).
     In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of June and Charles Ellis in care of Kim Koos.  These funds will be used toward a gift to the dedicated and compassionate employees of Kingston Residence.  They cared for both June and Charles (June Bug and Charlie) for four years with love and kindness.  The Kingston staff was a blessing to them and our entire family each and every day.
