Louis Repko, Jr, 86 of Lorain passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at the University Hospital-Elyria Campus following a brief illness.
Mr. Repko was born in Dembo, PA on August 24, 1932, the son of the late Louis and Nellie (nee Goffes) Repko, Sr. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Lorain.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He earned the Occupation Medal Japan, the Combat Infantry Badge, the Korean Service Medal W/5 Bronze Service Stars, United Nations Service Medal, Distinguished Unit Emblem.
Mr. Repko retired as warehouse superintendent with the National Gypsum in Lorain and was a licensed private investigator during the 1960's.
He was a member of the Knights of St. John's, Amvets Post 47, American Legion Post 30, was a life member of VFW 8686, the F.O.P.A., and was active in Operation "Open Heart." He enjoyed golfing, boating, fishing, camping, and wintering in Florida.
Mr. Repko is survived by daughters, Shana (Ed) Nazario of Lorain, Lisa (Keith) Cramer, of Pompano Beach, FL, sons Louis W. Repko of Sheffield, David A. Repko, of Lorain, Ohio; Jeff Repko, of Lorain, Ohio; John (Kathy) Repko of Suffolk, VA; Mike (Melissa) Repko of Vermilion. many grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois (nee Hentges) Repko on April 15, 2019, children, an infant son, Mark A. Repko, daughter, Nancy Croft, grandson Mark A. Nazario, brothers John Repko, Charles Repko, Michael Repko, Joseph Repko and sisters Ann Conzo and Marge Lopez.
Friends may call on Friday, July 5, 2019 from 4-7 pm in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Deacon Paul Heise, of St. Anthony of Padua Church, officiating
Entombment Services at graveside in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain will be announced on the funeral home website.
