Magdalene (Maggie) H. DiFilippo (nee Posey)
(July 16, 1928 – May 18, 2018)

     Maggie DiFilippo (Posey) 89, of Lorain went home to be with our Lord on Friday, May 18, 2018.
     Maggie was born on July 16, 1928 in Lorain the daughter of the late Frank and Helen (nee Orosz) Posey. She resided in Lorain her entire life. 
     She was a graduate of Lorain High School 1946B. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Lorain and one of the original members of the SaMar Club.
     With her unwavering faith and relationship with the Lord she raised eight children. Her passions and talents included the art of drawing and painting, cooking, sewing, baking, crafts and cake decorating. She took great care and time in everything she touched to make it perfect for which she would say gave her great satisfaction.
     Survivors include her sons; Jim (Jean) DiFilippo of Athens, Art (Karen) DiFilippo of Summerville, SC, Ken (Tamala) DiFilippo of North Ridgeville, Daughters, Karen (Steve) Koleszar of Goodyear AZ, Carol DiFilippo of Avon, Toni (Edwin)Bowles , Mary DiFilippo and DeeDee (Terry) Shullick all of Lorain, 10 grand children & (5) great-grand children and dear friends Arline & Tim Walters.
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Victor DiFilippo of 37yrs, in 1987, sister & brother in law; Vivian & William Higgins.
     Friends may call on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street from 4-7 PM.
     Funeral services be on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 beginning at 10:00 am in the funeral home with prayers followed by a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church, corner of 8^th & Reid Aves., Lorain with Rev. James A. Becherer, officiating. 
     Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
