Michael  R. Cool, 18, of Lorain passed away on Monday, October 2, 2017 as a result from injuries received from an automobile accident.

He was born on November 7, 1998 in Mansfield, the son of Robert G. and Susan R Cool, Jr, both surviving.

Mike was a 2017 graduate of Marion L. Steele High School in Amherst and the Lorain County Joint Vocational School. He had been employed by Ganley Imports in Cleveland and he owned and operated Mr.Fix-It, a small handyman business.

Mike had many skills and loved to work out of doors. The more time he spent working around his friend’s farms and their cars: the happier he was. He was very generous and loved the rodeo and farming. He loved to be the “life of the party” and making everyone laugh.  He was a true joy to be with.

Michael is survived by his parents of Lorain, sisters Kristie P. LeMaster of Lorain, Liza M. Neri of Toledo, his brother Robert G (Joni) Cool, III of Amherst, nieces Kaitlyn R. LeMaster, Madison D. Neri, Maya L. Cool, nephews Christian D. LeMaster, Robert S.”Robby” Cool, Kael R. Neri, Robert G. Cool, IV and Owen S. Smith. Also surviving is his maternal grandmother Pauline M. Shonkwiler, paternal grandmother Rebecca E Cool both of Ashland, and former sister in law Tami Patterson, former brothers in law John LeMaster and Daniel Neri.  

He is preceded in death by a brother Jason , maternal grandfather Marvin C. Shonkwiler and paternal grandfather Robert G. Cool, Sr.

In honor of Michael we request that everyone wear blue jeans and a flannel shirt to both visitation and funeral.

Friends may call from  4-8 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2017 at The Lorain County Fairgrounds Show Barn, 23000 Fairgrounds Road, Wellington.

Funeral services will be at the Fairgrounds Show Barn on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow with a  ”pickup truck” procession to the  Vermillion Cemetery, Hayesville, Ohio
