Alexis "Lecky" M. Johnson

Alexis M. Johnson, fondly known by her loved ones as "Lecky," passed away unexpectedly on July 20, 2023, in her hometown of Lorain, Ohio. Born on March 26, 1983, Lecky was a beacon of love, generosity, and courage, her life a testament to the power of these virtues.

Lecky was the beloved daughter of Shelia Johnson and Simpson Benjamin. She was a cherished sister to Desmond, Antuone (Yvonne), Simpson, Leon and  Andrea Vasquez. A loving and devoted mother, Lecky is survived by her two daughters, Desiree and Desire Johnson. Her family was her joy and strength. Lecky was preceded in death by her Father Simpson Benjamin, Her Grandmothers Lula Mae Benjamin and Betty Lusk, Grandfathers George Benjamin and Melvin Johnson and many aunts and uncles and cousins.

Lecky's greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She was the heart of every gathering, her infectious laugh and warm spirit filling any room she was in. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. She was a source of strength and comfort to her loved ones, her courage inspiring them to face their own challenges with bravery and grace.

Her life was a testament to the power of love, generosity, and courage. She made a difference in the lives of everyone she touched, her legacy a beacon of hope and inspiration for all who knew her.

In her passing, Lecky leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of her daughters, her family, and the countless friends she made throughout her life. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to inspire and uplift all who had the privilege of knowing her.
