Alonzo Donald Smith

Alonzo Donald Smith, 54, of Lorain passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 unexpectedly, at his home.

Mr. Smith was born in Louisa, Kentucky on October 14, 1969, the son of Charlotte Amanda (nee Daniel) Stepnicka, of Lorain and William Glen Smith of Marion.

He was a graduate of Lorain High School and a trade school for welding. He was a laborer at LCAS Industries.

Mr. Smith enjoyed running and ran in several local marathons.

Alonzo is  survived by sons Jordan Adrian Smith of Amherst, Samuel William Smith of Lorain, his parents, sisters Glenda Marie (Jimmy) Gonzales of Lorain, Crystal Lynn (Kevin) Hearn of Lorain, brothers John Allen (Melissa) Smith of Lorain, Adrian Dremont (Georgina) Robinson of Lorain, half-sister Dawn Meredith (Craig) Cardwell of Mt Gilead,  half-brothers Jason Allen Smith of Marion, Richard Michael Smith of Mt Gilead, Steven Scott Smith of Marion, Brent Arlan Hakes of Marion, several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.  

He was preceded in death by a twin brother William Ronald Smith and his step-father Eugene Robinson.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be on Tuesday, January 30th from 11:00 am until services at 1:00 pm in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain. Pastor Wallace Justice will officiate.

Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp, OH.
