Antoinette V. Ramos, 52, of Lorain passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at her home following a long illness.
Ms. Ramos was born in Amherst on February 20, 1969, the daughter of Daniel Ramos, Jr, of Elyria and the late Etta (née Dandrea) Ramos.
She was a graduate of Brookside High School, Class of 1988, and Lakeland Community College with an associate degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement. She was certified by the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission and received the Lorain County Sheriff's Kary Grumbos "Top Gun" Award.
She was a former Lorain County Sheriff's Auxiliary. While living in the Washington D. C. area, she was employed as a special Police Officer guarding federally owned properties. She was later employed at Amazon in Euclid. Ms. Ramos was a fitness buff, personal trainer, and ran in several Marathons especially Marathons supporting the local police.
Ms. Ramos attended Church of the Open Door in Elyria.
In addition to her father, Antoinette is survived by a brother, Anthony D. (Nicole) Dandrea of Portland, OR., her nephew James Dandrea and niece Faye Dandrea, cousins Dale, Michael and Ruth, half-sisters Sarah Ramos and Amy-Ramos Amato, Uncle Lewis, Aunt Linda and her dearest friend Eunice Hawke.
Private graveside services were held and burial was in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
The Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals assisted the family with arrangements.
