Obituary

    Betty Jane Brady, 95, (nee Bumke) of Lorain passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at Kingston of Vermilion following a long illness.
     Mrs. Brady was born in Lorain on September 4, 1927, the daughter of the late Louis A. and Helen L. (nee Goetz) Bumke. She was a graduate of Lorain High School, Class of 1945-B.
     She had been employed at US Steel in the pension office in charge of processing retirees..
     She enjoyed watching TV and was a loving and caring wife that enjoyed be the caregiver for her late husband.
     Betty is survived by her daughter Susan (Dick) Haas of Louisville, KY, sons Kenneth (Patty) Brady of Cypress, TX, Daniel Brady of Vermilion, Edward (Andrea) Brady of Milford, 5 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edward J. Brady in 2005 and a sister Helen VonKamp.
     Burial in Elmwood Cemetery will on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 11:00 am.
     The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Indian School, P.O. Box 326, Chamberlain, SD 57326
