Bobby Joe “Pops” Pinkerton
Bobby Joe Pinkerton, lovingly known as “Pops,” passed away on May 5, 2026, in Elyria at the age of 80. He was born on April 9, 1946, in Arkansas to the late Pearl May (Carlisle) Pinkerton and James Eli Pinkerton.
Bobby was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished his family above all else. He will be remembered for his kind heart, quiet strength, and the love he shared with those closest to him. Known affectionately as “Pops,” he brought comfort, wisdom, and laughter to many throughout his life.
He is survived by his four sons: Robert Pinkerton of Lorain, James David Pinkerton of Lorain, David Scott Pinkerton and his wife Rose of Berlin Heights, and Michael Pinkerton of Fort Wayne.
He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of whom brought great pride and joy to his life.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his beloved granddaughter, Brittany.
Bobby’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His family finds comfort in the many memories shared together and the lasting legacy of love he leaves behind.
