Charles P. Parker, 83, of Sheffield Lake passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at the Main Street Care Center in Avon Lake following a brief illness.
Mr. Parker was born on March 26, 1936 in Medina, the son of the late Franklin D. and Ilah P. (nee Neiland). He was a 1955 graduate of Brookside High School. He attended the First Baptist Church of Sheffield Lake.
He served in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army. In 2000, He retired as a mechanic at National Gypsum in Lorain following 37 years of service. He was a former member of the F. & AM Black River Lodge. He was an award winning bowler and enjoyed golfing and playing cards.
Charles is survived by his two daughters, Barbara M. (William) Peck of Sheffield Lake, Becky L Saunders of Lorain, his son, Barry C Parker of Sheffield Lake, grandchildren, Carl Olds, Brandon Parker, Draven Saunders, Melissa Hall, Jeremy Parker, great grandchildren Alexis, Alisianna, Audrey and a sister Ruth Kneisel of Lorain.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Richard Parker, brothers: Neil Parker, Jack Parker, Bill Parker, Harold Parker, Dick Knitter, Grant Parker,
sisters, Rose Rym, Georgianna Beach, Lois Mercado, and Joanne Tuma.
Graveside Services will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Litchfield Cemetery in Litchfield with full military honors.
