Cheryl Dee Milks (née Kohart),84, of Lorain passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Ames Family Hospice in Westlake following a long illness.
Mrs. Milks was born in Lorain on August 28, 1940, the daughter of the late Francis Adelbert and Delilah L. (née Smith) Kohart. She attended the former Faith United Methodist Church in Lorain.
She worked at Charleston School from 1967-1968. She and her husband Herron started Milks Mower Sales & Service in 1976 and in 1984 opened Herron's Christmas Store. She retired as co-owner/operator at Milks Mower & Herron's Christmas World in Amherst.
Mrs. Milks enjoyed traveling, the Cleveland Indians, including traveling to the Indians training camps on several occasions and going to Las Vegas.
Cheryl is survived by her sons:William J (Rita) Milks of Lorain, James W. (Lysa) Milks, Sr. of Amherst, sister Janet Loterbaugh of Lorain, daughter in law Alethia Milks, sister in law Jean (James) DiFilippo 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Herron Milks on June 11, 2024, and her son Kit Milks on September 17, 2002.
Friends may call in the Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain on October 14th from 2 to 4 P.M. and 7 to 9 P.M.
Funeral will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, October 15th at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Tony Mannon, officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery Amherst Township.
