Claudia J. (Downing) Church

     Claudia J. Church (nee Downing), 72, of Lorain passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 in Kingston of Vermilion following a brief illness.
     Mrs. Church was born in Lorain on February 20, 1949, the daughter of the late Claude and Esther I. (nee Lange) Downing. She was a member of Tower Baptist Church in Lorain. She enjoyed gardening, humor and visiting with friends.
     She was a retired hall monitor with the Lorain City Schools.
     Claudia is survived by a daughter, Michelle M. (Robert) Triniszewski, of Amherst, son Kevin J. (Darla) DeSimone of Lagrange, KY; grandchildren, Seth Diewald, Kristen Tingle, Rebecca Schmidt, Danielle Krall, Natalie DeSimone, great grandchildren, Lily Alanis, Eddy Schmidt, David Schmidt, Michael Schmidt, Garrett Tingle; sister Shirley A. (Bill) Pasta, of Lorain, a brother Claude J. Downing of Lorain and several other neices and nephews.
     She was preceded in death by her husband Harold "Pete" Church and a sister Carol Bowens.
     Friends may call on Friday, April 2, 2021 from 4 pm - 7 pm in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.
     Funeral services will begin at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 3, 2021 in the funeral home and burial will follow in the Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
     The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, 41111 Pearl Ave., Lorain, Ohio 44055.
