Cyrus Leon Yeary, 82, of Lorain passed away Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Mercy Regional Medical Center following a long illness.
Mr. Yeary was born in Tazewell, TN on April 26, 1937, the son of the late Henry E. and Lula F. (nee Surber) Yeary.
He retired as a manager from Emro Marketing, Co. where he managed a Bonded Gas Station for more than 39 years. He received several awards from the Bonded Company for outstanding service. Following retirement, he was a merchandiser for Kellogg's and Keebler for 16 years, retiring a second time at 80 years old. Cyrus loved gardening, yardwork, whistling songs, and spending time with his family. He was a kind-hearted, honest, and loving man who brought joy and warmth to everyone he met.
Cyrus is survived by his wife of 63 years Treva M. (nee Arnett) Yeary, daughter Joyce M. (Donald) Rangel of Vermilion, sons Michael R. (Cheryl) Yeary, of Littleton, CO, Randall L. Yeary of Lorain, grandchildren, Tamber McNeal, Mariah Yeary, Derek Rangel, Garrett Rangel, great- grand daughter, Anna McNeal, sisters, Ruby Brooks of Ewing, VA, Christola Yeary of Ewing, VA, Loretta McGee of Toledo, OH, Janavee Wuertz of Toledo, OH, Maggie King of Gibraltar, MI, Charlene Francis of Russell's Point, OH; and a brother, Ernest Yeary of Tontogany, OH.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Elmer Yeary, Herbert Yeary, John Yeary, Eugene Fletcher, and sisters: Edith Greer, Edna Gilpin, Norma Lee Cupp, Opalee Gilleland, and Irene Yeary.
Funeral Services will be private and burial will be in Brownhelm Cemetery officiated by Chaplain Clayton Gregory.
