Debra J. Fisher, 74, of Lorain, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, creativity, and devotion to family. Born on July 23, 1951, in Lorain, Ohio, she was the beloved daughter of the late Mary (Simeonoff) and Richard J. Fisher.
Debbie was a lifelong member of Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church, where her faith and sense of community were deeply rooted. After high school, Debbie worked at Lorain Product until its closure. She then became a part time aid to special needs children, a vocation that truly matched her love of children.
Outside of work, Debbie found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved traveling, crafting, baking, singing in the church choir, and, above all, spending cherished time with her family, her church friends and all the people she met at Danbury Assisted Living where she kept busy w/ all the social activities. Her warmth, kindness, and creative spirit touched all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving sister, Pam (Jon) Kirk of Dublin, Ohio; her nephews, Ryan (Stephanie) Kirk, Justin (Paige) Kirk, and Addison (Ashley) Fisher; and her cherished great-nephew, Jude Kirk, and great-nieces, Adalyn Fisher and Kinslee Fisher. Debbie's family was the center of her world, and she took great pride in each of them.
In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by her brother, Joe Fisher, and her sister, Mary Kay Fisher.
Public visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday, May 1, at Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church, 3015 Meister Road, Lorain, Ohio. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 AM at the church, with Rev. Adam Davis officiating. Interment will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church in Debbie's memory.
