Diane Louise (Miller) McDonald

Diane (nee Miller) McDonald, 73, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025, at Regency Hospital – Cleveland West in Middleburg Heights, with her devoted husband by her side.

Born in Lorain, Ohio on April 22, 1952, Diane was the beloved daughter of the late Jean Lenore and Ralph Miller. She grew up with a warm spirit, a gentle heart, and a quiet strength that guided her throughout her life.

Diane dedicated many years of service as a Claims Auditor at Healthsmart, where her diligence, kindness, and professionalism were deeply valued. Yet, her true joy was found in the company of her family. She cherished every moment spent with them and especially loved watching hummingbirds—tiny visitors that brought her great peace and happiness.

Diane is survived by her loving husband, Robert McDonald; her daughter Kimberly Ann, wife of Robert Doll, of Lorain, Ohio; two sons, Robert Eugene, husband of Jessica McDonald III, of Fairlawn, Ohio, and Michael Paul McDonald, of Northwood, Ohio. She is also lovingly remembered by her cherished grandchild, Noah Michael McDonald, who brought light and pride into her life.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at 6:00 PM on Saturday, December 6th at Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals in Lorain, Ohio. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Matthew Jones of Broadway Assembly of God.

Diane will be remembered for her warmth, her compassion, and her unwavering love for her family. Her presence will be deeply missed, yet her memory will continue to flutter gently in the hearts of all who knew and loved her—much like the hummingbirds she adored.
