Douglas Kayle
January 6, 1961 – October 3, 2025
Douglas Kayle, 64, of Lorain, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Born on January 6, 1961, in Lorain, he was the beloved son of Robert Francis Kayle of Lorain and the late Marilyn Sue (Neiding) Kayle.
A lifelong resident of Lorain, Doug was deeply rooted in his community. He was a dedicated and lifelong member of the Church of the Redeemer, where his faith played a central role in his life. Professionally, Doug was the proud owner of Kayle Appraisal Services in Lorain, offering trusted expertise and service to his hometown for many years.
Doug’s heart for service and passion for Lorain were evident in his many civic contributions. He was a past president of the Lorain Lions Club, a committed member of the Lorain Historical Society, and actively involved with the Lorain Port Authority. His love for his city and its history touched everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his father, Robert Francis Kayle of Lorain; two brothers, Donald R. Kayle, husband of Debora Kayle, of Kissimmee, Florida, and David E. Kayle, husband of Mary Beth Kayle, of Kerrville, Texas and Aunt Nancy Stark of Vermilion, Ohio. Doug is also fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, all of whom brought him great joy.
Public gathering from 5-6 PM on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, Lorain, Ohio 44052 with a service to celebrate Doug’s life at 6:00 PM with Rev. Alex Barton officiating.
Doug’s kindness, dedication, and unwavering love for his family and community will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
