Edward R. Jesensky, 82, of Lorain, passed away Friday, May 15, 2020 at his home.
Mr. Jesensky has been a lifelong resident of Lorain born on March 14,1938, to the late Alex and Stella (nee Lach) Jesensky Sr. Ed was a graduate of Lorain High School, Class of 1956 B and a member of the Church of St. Peter Lorain.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era. Ed received metals for rifle marksman and AFEM.
Mr. Jesensky worked at U.S. Steel Corporation for 32 years as a wireman retiring in 1989. He was a former member of Steelworkers Local 1104 and the United Polish Club in Lorain, where he represented the club in the organizing of the first International Festival Association having held the office of Treasurer for the Princess Pageant Committee.
In his teens he was a pinsetter at the old Andorka’s Recreation Center on Vine Avenue in South Lorain where his interest of bowling began. Ed later bowled for many years in the
United Polish Club league on Wednesday night at Rebman Recreation. He also enjoyed hunting and collecting coins.
Edward is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janice J. (nee Rosso) Jesensky, daughter, Jill Marie (Christopher) Biro, Sr. of Lorain, a son Jay E. Jesensky, of Bay Village, his grandson Drew Biro, and his sister Jeanette Salkowitz of Lorain.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Alex Jesensky, Jr.
Services were private with burial in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
The family was assisted with arrangements by the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.
