Fred Moore

Fred R. Moore, 91 years of age, and a lifetime resident of Lorain, passed away Friday October 4, 2024 at his residence following a full and meaningful life. He was born August 10, 1933 in Cambridge, Ohio. 

Fred was a 1951 graduate of Lorain High School and attended Oberlin School of Commerce. After serving in the Army from 1953 - 1955 in Alaska, Fred went to work at B.F. Goodrich in the accounting dept. and retired after 37 years in 1993. Fred was a member of Lighthouse United Methodist Church in Lorain. 

Survivors include his wife of 71 years Betty Krieg Moore, Children: Jeffrey A. Moore (Diane) of Lorain and Nancy Moore Sparks (Russell) of Northwood, Ohio, Grandchildren: Bradley Moore of Salisbury, NC., Jenna Gurr (Dave), Ashley, Heather and Dillion Sparks, Great Grandchildren: Braxton, Brooklyn, Bailey, Brayden, Johnathan and Ayden. Fred was preceded in death by his parents: Harley and Alice Moore and a sister Shirley Krieg.

Friends and Family my call Tuesday October 8, 2024 from 10:00 AM -12:00 PM at Lighthouse United Methodist Church 3015 Meister Rd., Lorain, OH 44053 where a Memorial Service will be held at 12 PM. The Rev. Adam Davis, Pastor will officiate. Burial will be held on Wednesday October 9th, 2024 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at 10175 Rawiga Rd. Seville, Ohio 44273. 

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Lighthouse United Methodist Church 3015 Meister Rd. Lorain, Ohio 44053
