Gregory J. Plott

Gregory J. "Gregg" Plott, 63, of Lorain passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at his home following a brief illness.

Mr. Plott was born in Lorain on October 27, 1956, the son of the late John M. and Ruth M. (Myers) Plott. He was a graduate of Lorain High School in the Class of 1975, attended Ohio University and received his a bachelor's degree from Cleveland State University in History. 

He spent most of his teaching career in Sacramento, California. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and writing, having several published articles.   

Gregg is  survived by a daughter Ireland Plott, of Columbus, Jennifer R Huhn of Lorain,  Karla J. (Dennis) Hobart of Sheffield Lake and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Grover and Darrell Plott.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 22, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until a Celebration of His Life service at 3:00 p.m. in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio.
