Harold L. Church

     Harold L. "Pete" Church, 69, of Lorain passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at the Amherst Manor Nursing Home following a long illness.
     Mr. Church was born in Paintsville, KY on July 13, 1950, the son of the late Lonza and Hazel (nee Bryant) Church.
     He was a member of Tower Baptist Church in Lorain, He retired as a fork lift operator at the former National Gypsum Co. following 40 years of service.
     Mr. Church enjoyed watching TV, gardening and working on cars and trucks.  
     Harold is  survived by his wife of 28 years, Claudia J. (nee Downing) Church, daughter Michelle M, (Robert) Triniszewski of Amherst, son,Kevin J, (Darla) DeSimone, of Lagrange, KY. Grandchildren, Seth Diewald, Kristen Tingle, Rebecca Schmidt,  Natalie DeSimone, Danielle Weekly, Great grandchildren:  Lily Alanis, Eddy Schmidt, David Schmidt, and  Michael Schmidt.
     In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother Enis Church, sisters,  Lula Conley, and Alta Hayes. 
     Friends may call on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.
     Funeral services will be on Monday at 1:00 pm in the Tower Baptist Church, 1313 Tower Blvd., Lorain with associate pastor Butch Marten, officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
