           JEFFERY JAMES KONOWAL

A bright and vibrant light was extinguished suddenly from our lives when our beloved son and brother, Jeffery James Konowal, suffered a massive stroke and died on February 10, 2021 at Metro General Hospital in Cleveland. Jeff was born on June 4, 1968, in Amherst, Ohio. He attended high school at JVS in Oberlin and Firelands High School prior to moving to West Palm Beach, Florida with his mother, stepfather, and sisters.   Jeff was a natural born salesman, following in the footsteps of his grandfather James Camera.  He started selling cars in Florida and then, upon returning to Lorain, began sales at Ed Mullinax Ford and later at Mike Bass Ford where he was currently working.  Jeff was honored as Top Salesman multiple times at every job he held.

Jeff’s passions were racing cars, working and his beloved pit bulls, Diesel and Bella.  Starting as a young boy, he loved camping and was involved in Future Farmers of America while in high school and raised veal calves and pigs for several years. Jeff also enjoyed body building workouts beginning in high school.

Jeff unselfishly signed up to be an organ donor and his liver and kidneys have gone to help other people survive. He was devoted to his mother and sisters and was often their “protector”.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father Ronald Konowal; his stepfather James Weston; maternal grandparents James and Cecelia Camera; paternal grandparents Bernard and Irene Konowal and numerous aunts and uncles.

Jeff is survived by his mother Kathleen Camera Weston; stepson Marcos Velazquez; his sisters Heather (Dan) Forbes and Amanda Konowal (Dennis Groene); nephews Eric (Kylie) Dieguez and Kenny Forbes; nieces Ava Forbes and Claire Walker; uncle and aunt Raymond Konowal and Pamela Gintonio; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals in Lorain and services will be announced at a later date.
