John William "Jack" Wooldridge passed away on Monday 03/17/2025 at his home.
He was born in Washington, PA on April 13, 1941, the son of the late Ruth M (Moore) and John W Wooldridge.
He graduated from Lorain High School and then served in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant earning the Sharpshooter (Rifle) and National Defense Service Medals.
John worked for American Ship Building Company until they closed in 1983. He then drove truck for Billy Rowland Enterprises until he went to work as a supervisor for the City of Lorain Water Department where he retired after over 15 years of service.
He loved to golf and bowl. He went on many golf vacations and even hosted "Jack and Jerry's Golf Annual Golf Outing" for over 9 years bringing all his friends together for a fun-filled day.
John is survived by his Daughter Denise Lloyd, of Lorain, Son John (Joette) Wooldridge of Amherst, Stepdaughter Lynn Washington of Florida, Stepson George (Jill) Ritenauer of Florida and his Brother Eddie (Bertha) Wooldridge of Sheffield Lake.
He is also survived by Grandchildren: Bethany Wooldridge, John (Carys) Wooldridge, Michael (Mary) Wooldridge, Cheyenne Lloyd, Amber (Jeff) Clark, Brittany Washington, Mason Ritenauer, Maddox Ritenauer and 2 Great Grandchildren: Aniya and Jalen.
John was preceded in death by his Parents, Brother Donald "Red" Wooldridge and Sister Barbara Wooldridge.
John will be buried at Ridge Hill Cemetery in Amherst, Ohio with military honors April 14th at 10am.
