KAREN KAY (nee Rodgers) HERSCHELMAN
Karen went to be in the arms of our Lord on Saturday, June 25th. She was born in Massillon on March 28, 1940 to the late Roger and Georgia (nee Kuntz) Rodgers.
She graduated from Lorain High School in the Class of 1958B. She retired from Lorain City Schools after 27 years of service.
Karen belonged to Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Amherst, University Club, and Leah Circle of Lighthouse United Methodist Church, book club and Friends club.
Karen had a passion for gifting friends and family with home made cookies. If you knew Karen, you've witnessed her blessing that she generously gave. She enjoyed reading, baking and sharing time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Norm, whom she married 62 years ago, daughter Beth (nee Herschelman) Hedtke of Strongsville, sons Rodger Herschelman and Matthew (Heidi) Herschelman, all both of Lorain, grandchildren, Taylor (Herschelman) Nickeson and husband Elliott, Erin (Herschelman) Monaghan and husband Conor, Austin Motsinger, Jack Motsinger, Jacob Herschelman and Sam Herschelman.
Celebration of Karen's life is scheduled for August 18, 2022 at the Rose Cafe at Lakeview Park. It will be an open house from 5:30pm - 9pm. The address is 1800 W. Erie Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44052.
