Lois J. Reichlin (nee Katiba), age 88, of Lorain entered eternal life Friday, July 2, 2021 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake, after a brief illness. She was born June 22, 1933 in Lorain and remained a lifelong resident.
Lois was a member of St. Mary Church in Lorain. She was formerly an active member of St. Joseph Church in Lorain until its closing. She served as treasurer of the Ladies Guild and was a lector.
Lois enjoyed activities such as shopping, playing cards with her pinochle club, camping and all gatherings with family and friends.
The "gems" of her life were her grandchildren. She rarely missed their sporting events, she was proud of her grandson serving in the military, and loved working puzzles or any other games with the kids.
Her eyes especially lit up when she saw her great grandchildren.
Lois is survived by a daughter Barb Reichlin of Lorain, sons Ken (Debbie) Reichlin of Avon Lake and Bob (Judy) Reichlin of Elyria, grandchildren Josh (Daisy) Reichlin, Dave (Jodi) Reichlin, Jessica (Andrew) Kubuski, and Dan Reichlin, great-grandchildren Kayshia, Tucker, and Leighton. She also leaves sisters in law Cathy Katiba and Rose Valletta.
She was preceded in death by her husband George in 1995 after 39 years of marriage, a brother Gerald Katiba, an infant brother Dale Katiba, brother in law Jesse Valletta and her mother Jennie Katiba.
