Margaret Jane Gregg

Margaret Jane Gregg passed away peacefully on September 2,, 2024 at Mercy New Life Hospice in Lorain, OH with her family by her side.

Margaret was born at home in Plain Gove, PA on June 11, 1938, the daughter of the late Ruth Susanne (nee Graham) and William Brown McCune.

Margaret married the love of her life, Donald F. Gregg, on October 10, 1970. They were married 42 years.  Margaret worked at Lakeview Elementary School as a lunch lady and at Multilink in Elyria, OH. Margaret was also a homemaker that enjoyed spending her time with her children and grandchildren. She cherished and loved all her pets throughout her lifetime.

Margaret always started her mornings off with her love for Oreos and hot tea. She enjoyed watching western films, game shows and football. Her love for video games was like no other even into her 80’s.

Margaret is survived by her two daughters, Kaye L. (Kenneth) Lukacz of Lorain, OH, Peggy Sue Rider of Elyria, OH; three sons, Jeffrey R. Rider of Lorain, OH, James W. (Cathy Fairbanks) Gregg of Lorain, OH, Michael F. (Tami) Gregg of Perkins Township, OH; two step daughters, Donna E. (Dale) Szakats of Jackson Township, NJ and Tammy J. (Randy) Reisling of Freehold, NJ.

Margaret is also survived by her grandchildren, Angie Siska, Eric Lukacz, Jerron Helbig, Jessica Wright, Daniel Lukacz, Melanie Lukacz, Cory Rider, Kyle Rider, Nathaniel Gregg, Megan Young and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ruth Susanne (nee Graham) and William Brown McCune and her husband Donald F. Gregg.

Burial will be at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park in Rochester, PA on September 6, 2024 with services starting at 1 PM.
