Michael Joseph Ostanock

Michael Joseph  "Mike" Ostanock, 50, of Amherst passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 following a brief illness.

Mr. Ostanock was born in Youngstown on August 9, 1973, the son of Michael Anderson Ostanock of Amherst and the late Judith Anne (nee Rosko) Ostanock. He was a 1992 graduate of Marion L. Steele.

He was a master concrete worker having worked at Elyria Foundry and Elyria Concrete., Elyria Concrete 

Mr. Ostanock was an avid Cleveland Brown's fan, and loved playing basketball. 

Michael is  survived by son, Evan Anderson Ostanock of Lorain, step-daughter Leah Thomas of Lorain, his father, sister Allison Anne (Daniel) Wright of Lorain,   
a Daniel Skruck of Hubbard and many other relatives and friends. 
 
In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a brother Nicholas R. Christie. 

Graveside services will be held on Friday in the Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, 44805 North Ridge Road, Amherst Twp. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
