Nancy Carol (Kennedy) Brown

     Nancy C. Brown, 79, (nee Kennedy) passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Mercy-New Life Hospice Center in Lorain following a short illness.
     Mrs. Brown was born in McCreary County, KY on November 13, 1943, the daughter of the late Onzy and Evelyn (nee Bolin) Kennedy. She was a member of Christian Life Church in Lorain. 
     She was a member of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge. She has been employed by PACC, Ambruzzi Club, Moose Lodge, Montenero Club, and Andorka Lanes.   She had been a secretary for Spitzer's Organization.                    
     She enjoyed bowling, trips to Vegas, traveling, gambling and spending time with her family. 
     Nancy is  survived by a son, Barry "Randy" (Gwendolyn) Crews of Berlin Heights, a daughter Suzanne C. (Dewayne Howington) Crews of Lorain, grandchildren,  Lisa Jordan, Lindsay Crews-Evanich, Lydia Wallace, Lacey Crews, Ariana McCormick, Alexander Howington 9 great grandchildren, Joy, Elise, Kyleigh, Toniana, Anthony, Violet, Malcolm, Archer, Mila. sisters, Rhonda Mullins, of Dana, KY;  Diane Watson, of Lincoln, NE, brothers, James "Jay" (Lucy) Kennedy of Oberlin, Tommie (Jaime) Kennedy of Amherst;  step sons David Brown of Eminence, KY, and Timothy Brown, of Lorain.    
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard E. Brown in 2013, Son; Rickey Gene Crews in 1983, brothers, Elles Kennedy, Orville Kennedy and sister Sue Alma Kennedy.
     Funeral services will be held at Noon on Thursday, March 2, 2023 in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain with Chaplain Clayton Gregory, officiating.
     Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Amherst Township.
     The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
