Nina F. Johnson, 82, (nee Jackson) passed away on Friday, October 4, 2019 at her home following a brief illness.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Tunnelton, WV on October 22, 1936, the daughter of the late Dorsey and Carolia (nee Shaffer). She was a graduate of Tunnelton High School in West Virginia.
She served as a teachers aid in the Lorain City Schools for 20 years.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughters, Judy (Thomas) Shaw of Amherst, Linda (John) Ochenas, and Joyce (Mike Darmafall) Johnson all of Lorain, grandchildren Michael (Maggie) Shaw, Matt Shaw, Johnny (Sue Ann) Ochenas, Gary (Shana) Ochenas, Heidi (Alex) Cook, Great Grandchildren: Camden Gross, Baylor Gross, Lexi Cook, Maria Ochenas, Emmie Shaw, Monica Ochenas, Andy Shaw, Alex Cook, Jr and of course, her beloved pet, Faith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William D. Johnson in 1996, son William Dean Johnson, daughter Sandra Johnson, brothers Foster Jackson, Carroll Jackson, Leonard Jackson and sisters Anna Stemple and Genevieve Shank.
Services were private with Chaplain Dr. John Jackson, hospice chaplain at Mercy-New Life Hospice officiating. Burial was in Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
