Paul C. Winkler, 82, of Elyria, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Anchor Lodge Retirement Village in Lorain following a brief illness.
Mr. Winkler was born in Lorain on April 15, 1938, a son of the late Charles and Anna (nee Cottle) Winkler. He was a member of the Class of 1956 at Clearview High School.
He was a US Army veteran serving as a military policemen.
Mr. Winkler retired as a millwright from US Steel after 30 years service.
He enjoyed bowling, golfing, all the Cleveland Sports Teams, all the Ohio State Sports teams and in his youth, water skiing.
Paul is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carol V. Winkler (nee White), daughters, Cheryl D. (James) Paradis, of Sheffield Lake, Anita A. (Wilfredo) Rodriguez also of Sheffield Lake, son,Paul C. (Chris) Winkler, Jr. of Lorain; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and a sister Mary Lou Maynard of Lorain.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Charles Winkler, Jr.
A private memorial service was held with full military honors.
