Phyllis A. (Nee Hall) McPherran, 81, of Loran passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at her home following a long illness.
Mrs. McPherran was born in Burdine, KY on October 29, 1941, a daughter of the late George M. and Cora J (nee Reed) Baker.
She retired as a lathe operator at National Gypsum in Lorain in 1988. She was among the First group of women to be hired at Lorain Ford Plant. She also worked many years at the former Miraldi's Cafe.
She enjoyed playing bingo and poker at American Legion Post.
Phyllis is survived by daughters, Sharon (Dwight) Griffith of Feds Creek, KY, Vanessa Kilgore, Lisa Hall both of Lorain, sons David (Tammy) Hall, Greg (Pam Dillon) Hall both of Lorain, Nicky Bustle of Statesville, NC, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, step daughters Teresa Levescy of Comanche, TX, Mary Joyce of Rocky River, step sons Kenny (Kelly Murton) McPerran of Comanche, TX, Michael (Darla Boani) McPherran of Parma, Jimmy (Joni) McPherran of Comanche, TX, Kenneth Hall of North Jedson, IN, sister Thelma Stanley of Burdine, KY, brother, Bobby (Faye) Baker, of Bristol, TN, and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband Charles "Chuck" McPherran on November 3, 2022, brothers, Junior Baker, Earl Baker, Eldrew Baker, Jimmy Baker, Lonnie Baker, step son Scott McPherran and a son-in-law Jimmy Kilgore.
Friends may call on Sunday, August 13, 2023 beginning at 5: 00 pm and ending with the funeral service at 7:00 pm in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain. The with Rev. Jeffrey Baker officiating.
Burial will be private
