Regena Sue (Minney) Coghlan

Regena Sue Coghlan (Minney) ,75, of Elyria Ohio, went home to be with her Lord and Savior after a long illness on November 17, 2025. She was born on July 8, 1950, in Cedar Creek, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Zetta Jean (Miller) and Eugene Lee Minney.

Sue lived a life of quiet strength, boundless love, and unwavering faith. A devoted member of New Life Wesleyan Church in Columbia Station, she found great joy in serving dinners, worshipping with her church family, and lending a helping hand wherever one was needed.

She worked as a cafeteria employee for Elyria City Schools, where her warm smile and gentle spirit touched the lives of countless students and staff. 

Outside of work, she cherished the simple, beautiful moments of life—she enjoyed scenic rides shared with her beloved husband, she loved spending treasured time with her grandchildren, and she the fun of a good shopping trip.

Sue is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Bill Coghlan; her son Billy (Tabatha) of Huron, Ohio.  daughter Cindy Harbert (Jesse) of Grafton, Ohio;  She is also survived by her brothers Mark Minney of Cleveland, Ohio, Mike Minney (Karen) of Lorain, Ohio and Brother-in-laws Clyde Hamilton & Bill Mueller of Elyria, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Her legacy continues through her adored grandchildren: Caleb and Rebekah Harbert and Kevin, Sean and Emily Coghlan.

Sue was preceded in death by a precious grandchild, Baby Girl Coghlan, her sisters Linda Hamilton and Luetta Mueller, and her brother Terry Minney.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 13th at New Life Wesleyan Church, 11149 W. River Rd., Columbia Station, Ohio, with Pastor Steve Spaeth and Pastor John Bodo officiating.
