Ronald J McGillivray, Sr.

     Ronald J. McGillivray, Sr. 85, of Lorain passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Mercy Regional Medical center in Lorain following a brief illness.
     Mr. McGillivray was born in Cambridge, MA on May 30, 1935, a son of the late John H. and Elizabeth (nee Rogers) McGillivray. He was a devoted member of St. Mary Church in Lorain.
     He retired as a  FCPA Auditor with Ford Motor in Lorain with 39 years of service.
     Mr. McGillivray enjoyed golfing, walking, watching old western movies, feeding the squirrels and shopping with his late wife, Ruth. He was an avid roller skater until 2005.
      Ron is  survived by his daughter, Deborah A.(Patrick) Rafferty of Avon, sons Ronald J, (Janice) McGillivray, Jr. of Lorain, John  E. (Alicia) McGillivray, of Clearwater, FL., grandchildren Becki Dorsey, Emily Rafferty, Megan Rafferty, Jennifer McGillivray, Celeste McGillivray, Sean McGillivray, Madison McGillivray. Great Grandchildren Branden Dorsey, Aubrey Dorsey, Emmitt Caldwell and Payton Caldwell.
     He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Ruth A. (nee Stacey) McGillivray on May 27, 2019, grandchildren Daniel Rafferty, Jonathan McGillivray, sisters: Mary Lynch, Catherine O'Connor, Theresa Moore, Jeanette Foye, Laura Wood and a brother John McGillivray. 
     Friends may call on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 4:00 pm until funeral services at 7:00 pm in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio. Deacon Paul Heise, St. Anthony of Padua will officiate.
     Burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery with Rev. Daniel Divis, his pastor, officating.
