Ronald Potiowsky

     Ronald Potiowsky, 66, of Lorain passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Mercy Regional Medical Center following a sudden illness.
     Ron was born in Lorain on November 29, 1952, the son of the late John J. and Helen C. (nee Turza) Potiowsky. He was a member of the 1972 class at Admiral King High School.
     He retired in 2016 as a tow motor operator with Pepsi Bottling Co.in Twinsburg. He previously had worked in the coke plant at US Steel in Lorain. 
     Ron loved the out of doors and enjoyed  hunting, fishing, boating and playing cards. He was a member of the Amherst Sportsman Club,  
     He is survived by his wife Rebecca Smith (nee Peltz), a step daughter Joy (Michael) Lescher of Strongsville, step son Michael (Nour) Baird of Lakewood, granddaughter,  Elle Lescher, sister, Marlene (Mark) Tagliavoni of Amherst, brother John (Monica) Potiowsky of Lorain and his nephew, Joseph Tagliavoni.
     Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2019 in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain. Followed by a Celebration of Life at 7:00 pm. 
     Burial will be private.
