Ruth B. Bardoner, 96, (nee Arndt) of Avon Lake passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at the Independence Village in Avon Lake following a brief illness.
She was born January 10, 1923 in Lorain, to the late Paul J. and Amanda Lucille (nee Bradley) Arndt.
Ruth graduated from Lorain High School in the class of 1941A, as a class officer. She was employed at Fruehauf Corp as a private secretary for 20 years, retiring in 1971. She enjoyed, traveling with her husband, care giving, animals and her many wonderful friends.
She was a member for many years of St. John's United Church of Christ, Lorain.
Ruth is survived by nieces Marian (James) Schmittauer of Grove City, Cheryl Deptula of Lorain, and Gayle Lehman of Avon Lake. Her great nephews, Jason Deptula, Mark Lehman, Mathew Lehman, great nieces, Rachel Schmittauer, Cynthia Deal, a very dear friend Jack Schmidt, and numerous friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, James Leo Bardoner, who died March 2005, brother Clifford Arndt in 2014, and her niece Judith Bardoner in 1989.
Services were private with Burial in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
