Ruth Marie (Shreve) Cajka

        Ruth M. Cajka, 60, (nee Shreve) of Lorain passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Mercy New Life Hospice following a brief illness.
     Ruth was born in Amherst, Ohio on March 11, 1962, a daughter of the late Charles and Sandra (nee Meier) Shreve. She was a 1980 graduate of Lorain High School.
     She was a retired cook at AVI Food Systems for more than 20 years, retiring in 2020.
     She enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels and watching cooking shows.
     Ruth is survived by daughters Sandra (Craig) Gribble, Kelly (Shannon) McPherson, Alanna Carver all of Lorain, Stepdaughter Kristin Morelock of La Vergne, Tennessee, grandchildren, Margaret McPherson, Rebecca McPherson, Autumn Metro, Adelynn Kerns, Ethan Gribble, sister Mary Pinto of Lorain, brothers Arthur Shreve, and Charlie Shreve both of Lorain.
     In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Faith Olgin.
     Friends may call on Friday, March 3, 2023 from 10:00 AM until services at 11:00 AM on in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Rev. Randy Crabtree will officiate.
