Samuel “Sam” H. Graves, 71, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026, at Admiral’s Pointe Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family.
Born on August 28, 1954, in Lorain, Sam was the beloved son of the late Unav (Enix) Graves and Jay W. Graves.
Sam proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War Era, attaining the rank of Specialist E4. Following his military service, he dedicated many years of hard work as a supervisor at Westport Axle.

He is survived by his loving sons, Jason S. Graves and his wife, Rhiannon Russo Graves, of Lorain, and Jeremy M. Graves of Sandusky and his loving daughter, Angela M. Graves of Jacksonville. He also leaves behind his sister, Connie S. Monsour of Lorain; and his brother, Perry J. Graves and his wife, Lora, of Elyria.
Sam was a proud grandfather to Jerome Alston, Michael Alston, Lily Graves, Kaelynn Graves, and Dakota Stout, and a cherished great-grandfather to Bentley Stout.
In addition to his parents, Sam was preceded in death by his brother, Jack G. Enix, and his beloved grandson, Jayden Graves.
