Shirley M. (Moore) Krieg

     Shirley M. (nee Moore) Krieg; age 87; of Avon passed away from pneumonia on December 24th, 2021 at University Hospital Saint John Medical Center in Westlake with her family by her side.
     Shirley was born in Cambridge to the late Harley and Alice (nee Hall) Moore on July 8th, 1934. She graduated from Lorain High School in 1952: attended Ohio State University for two years and then the Oberlin College of Commerce.
     She married the late Donald Krieg in 1963 and they lived together in Lorain for 13 years and then lived in Grosse Ile, Michigan for 40 years. Shirley worked as a deputy clerk at the Grosse Ile, Michigan township office before retiring in 1994. 
     Shirley and her husband Donald were members of the Grosse Ile, MI Yacht Club and members of The Islanders. They wintered in Phoenix, Arizona for five months each year for 16 years. Shirley enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and dancing with her husband Donald.
     In addition to her brother Fred (Betty) Moore of Lorain, she is survived by two sons Terry Krieg of Phoenix, Arizona and Perry Krieg of Spring Hill, Tennessee, grandchildren, Lauren Krieg, Ethan Krieg, Jessica Krieg, Michael Krieg and Valerie Krieg. 
     Shirley was preceded in death her parents, by her loving husband Donald Krieg on Aug 20, 2015 and a son Berry Krieg.
     Graveside services, open to family and friends, will take place at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, 44805 N. Ridge Rd, Amherst, OH at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 3rd, 2022 . 
     The family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer-Northeast Ohio Branch, 5350 Transportation Blvd. Ste. # 22, Garfield Heights, Ohio 44125-5307. 

A Celebration of Life has been scheduled for June 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain.
