Sue D. (Harris) York

Sue D. York, 83, of Lorain passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at the home of her son following a long illness.

Mrs. York was born in Portsmouth, NH on July 3, 1939, a daughter of the late Bevual J. and Pauline D (nee Stenzil) Harris. She was a member of the 1957 graduating class at Plymouth High School. She retired from Lorain City Schools and was a homemaker. 

Sue is survived by daughter Michelle T. (John) Oleksa of Lorain, sons Michael J. York, of Lorain, Charles H. York of Vermilion, Timothy J. (Grace) York, of North Ridgeville, grandchildren: Crystal Justice, Stephanie (Bill) Baird, Steven (Stephanie) York, Stacy York, Lauren (Joshua) Sterling, Emily York, Spencer York, great grandchildren: Waylan Baird, Aubrey Baird, Hazel Spalding, sister Sandra L. (Brandt) Pace of Greenland, NH. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Tom York in 2020 and a sister Gail Whitehouse. 

Friends may call on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 1:00 pm until time of services at 2:00 p.m. in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain. The Rev. Jerry Flury will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
