Thomas R. (Tommy) Zurinsky, 75 of Vermilion passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023 at his home following a long illness.
Mr. Zurinsky was born in Lorain on October 2, 1947, the son of the late Alfred T. and Blanche J. (nee Zmitravich) Zurinsky. A lifelong resident of the area, he graduated from Lorain Admiral King High School in the class of 1965.
He is a United States Marine Corp veteran attaining the rank of Lance Corporal.
Mr. Zurinsky was employed by the Laborer's Union Local #758. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and watching his grandchildren in their sporting events.
He enjoyed calling family members as well as having a cup of coffee at Mill Hollow Park, most days.
Tommy is survived by his son Kristian (Kimberly) Zurinsky of Avon, grandchildren: Devin (Arianna Negron) Zurinsky, Chloe (Jacob Young) Zurinsky, Sydney Zurinsky, great granddaughter (due in May) Remy Zurinsky, his sister Jean Connor of Lorain and a brother Robert Zurinsky of Vermilion.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two nephews, Billy Connor and Brad Connor.
Friends may call at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 10:00 am in St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 118 S. State Street, DuBois, PA with Monsignor Richard Siefer, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery, in Dubois.
